The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Peterborough AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Waite. The supporters of Peterborough AFC booed when Husbands Bosworth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivor Bullard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Victor Forrester managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 1-0 in the 8th minute. Gary Winfield made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Travis Blakeley sent off a good shot on target. Justin Parks kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Husbands Bosworth City getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Johnathon Hotte hit a great ball. Gary Winfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Travis Blakeley in the 33rd minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Damion Holbrook who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peterborough AFC's Rio Warrender was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Husbands Bosworth City's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Haugue came free, but Gary Winfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gary Winfield made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Travis Blakeley sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brendon Haugue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Husbands Bosworth City's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Haugue came free, but Gary Winfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendon Haugue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 64 played minutes Peterborough AFC got a freekick which was hit by Justin Parks. Peterborough AFC's Rio Warrender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damion Holbrook in the 67th minute of play. Ashley Hutchinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Haugue in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gary Winfield saved Husbands Bosworth City from getting behind. Travis Blakeley struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gary Winfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peterborough AFC. Travis Blakeley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Peterborough AFC's Travis Blakeley in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Husbands Bosworth City's goalie prevented a goal. Brendon Haugue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gary Winfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Brendon Haugue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Husbands Bosworth City's Gary Winfield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gary Winfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Travis Blakeley, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Brendon Haugue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gary Winfield. Husbands Bosworth City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brendon Haugue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Johnathon Hotte hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Brendon Haugue took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gary Winfield. Gary Winfield dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Peterborough AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
