If Will Bator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Rhodes in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clive Couch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 played minutes Walney Blues got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Niven. In the 26th minute Will Bator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sly Little saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garry Beresford kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Bator in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sly Little prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clive Couch made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Charles Rhodes sent off a good shot on target. Wayne Rundell's late challenge caught a Walney Blues's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wayne Rundell helped the player get up and apologised. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 41st minute, but Clive Couch got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Walney Blues hanging dry this time. Clive Couch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Rhodes in the 45th minute of play. Garry Beresford kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Will Bator to strike the kick off in the second half. Sly Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Bator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes, Charles Rhodes made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Walney Blues's Clive Couch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sly Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Bator, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gerry Ferrell charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerry Ferrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Destruction Zacsters getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gerry Ferrell hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Bator in the 69th minute of play forced FC Destruction Zacsters's goalkeeper Sly Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Bator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sly Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Rich Ashford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walney Blues and the FC Destruction Zacsters players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, one of Walney Blues:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Walney Blues. Walney Blues's Clive Couch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Rhodes in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Walney Blues's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Rhodes came free, but Clive Couch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Trusswell might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clive Couch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Trusswell ran back to his position shaking his head. Antony Coe kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Charles Rhodes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Couch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
