Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Charles Rhodes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Warner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jay Brimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sly Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Lewington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tollesbury's Cliff Scriven got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Trusswell in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jay Brimble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lenny Timiney hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes of play, FC Destruction Zacsters's Wayne Rundell made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jay Brimble was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jay Brimble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes, Brad Cardwell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Destruction Zacsters and the Tollesbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tollesbury's Lenny Timiney shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sly Little but with some difficulty. A collision led to FC Destruction Zacsters getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gerry Ferrell hit a great ball. Jay Brimble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Rhodes's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Rhodes to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Trusswell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Destruction Zacsters's Charles Rhodes suffered a concussion in the 63rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Thomas Gordon fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tollesbury's protests and gave Thomas Gordon a yellow card for diving instead. 62 minutes into the game, one of Tollesbury:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tollesbury:s Jay Brimble showed great skill when he stopped Wayne Rundell:s penalty. Fred Trusswell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Brimble having to interfere. Fred Trusswell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jay Brimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Tollesbury's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Trusswell came free, but Jay Brimble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fred Trusswell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Bridgewater could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jay Brimble made a huge save. Fred Trusswell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jay Brimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Trusswell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jay Brimble having to make a save. FC Destruction Zacsters's Sly Little played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Scriven in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over FC Destruction Zacsters could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tollesbury throughout the match.
