An unexpectedly hard shot by Chip Wring in the 13th minute of play forced Stansted's goalkeeper Wes Byrom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Damien Locking managed to get in a good position for a shot. Central London United's supporters rose to their feet, but Damien Locking was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wes Byrom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute Brendon Edmunds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keanu Lambourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keanu Lambourne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Edmunds in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd minute, Ricky Routledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stansted's goalkeeper Wes Byrom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keanu Lambourne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Edmunds, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Central London United's goalkeeper Keanu Lambourne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sid Kearney. Brendon Edmunds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keanu Lambourne having to interfere. After some careless play in the Stansted defense, Henry Potts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wes Byrom. The Stansted fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wes Byrom should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Chip Wring ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wes Byrom was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Keanu Lambourne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sid Kearney in the 91st minute. Sid Kearney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keanu Lambourne having to interfere. Keanu Lambourne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Edmunds, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Central London United's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Edmunds came free, but Keanu Lambourne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Central London United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stansted had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
