Millbrook United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niall Marsden ran over to the corner to take the kick. Runcornsdf's Callum Bartlett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Runcornsdf from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Kennedy in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colin Bye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Millbrook United's Colin Bye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Kennedy in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Millbrook United defense, Sean Kennedy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Colin Bye. The Millbrook United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Colin Bye should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Runcornsdf could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Millbrook United throughout the match.
