Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matty Ford got the match started through his kick off. Ivor Lundy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Cole in the 5th minute. When Hugh Bray fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Missenden's protests and gave Hugh Bray a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Blackfen booed when Great Missenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Bray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Micheal Thomson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matty Ford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Matty Ford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Micheal Thomson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Pedro Sherman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matty Ford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivor Lundy having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Great Missenden got a freekick which was hit by Kirk Grantham. 34 minutes into the match, Great Missenden's goal looked a bit too open when Kev Kearney came free, but Rueben Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Micheal Thomson scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivor Lundy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 48th minute of the match, Micheal Thomson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivor Lundy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Barone to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Glenn Barone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Great Missenden's zone, Glenn Barone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rueben Bolton came out of the goal and Glenn Barone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rueben Bolton made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kev Kearney sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Great Missenden getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Oscar Cole hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Barone in the 64th minute of play forced Great Missenden's goalkeeper Rueben Bolton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Blackfen booed when Great Missenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Bray didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Matty Ford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Missenden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matty Ford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micheal Thomson in the 78th minute of play forced Blackfen's goalkeeper Ivor Lundy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rueben Bolton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Barone in the 80th minute of play. Kev Kearney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rueben Bolton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Trey Nicoll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Ford in the 98th minute of play forced Blackfen's goalkeeper Ivor Lundy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Great Missenden walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
