But to his dismay, Rio Hook quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Kingswood AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Hopkinson came free, but Christian Gurney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Gurney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Jennings in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Kingswood AFC booed when Morecambe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Hopkinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Orson Ronson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Dylon Todd threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kingswood AFC's Kristopher Munday quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Jim Norman fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingswood AFC's protests and gave Jim Norman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute Kristopher Munday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Bittner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ethan Jackson fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingswood AFC's protests and gave Ethan Jackson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Kingswood AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan Jackson to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match Niall Lansdell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Gurney showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oliver Jennings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Gurney having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Kingswood AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Munday. After 35 played minutes, Morecambe FC's Niall Lansdell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Gurney came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morecambe FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Kristopher Munday managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kingswood AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Munday was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Bittner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Jennings stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ozzy Sears hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Gurney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Jennings, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Orson Ronson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyrone Bittner having to make a save. Neil Kemp hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Scott Lonsdale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kingswood AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Lonsdale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Bittner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orson Ronson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tyrone Bittner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, one of Morecambe FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kingswood AFC's Christian Gurney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Kingswood AFC from getting a goal against them. Christian Hopkinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Christian Gurney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Morecambe FC's Christian Hopkinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Gurney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Oliver Jennings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Gurney was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kingswood AFC's goalkeeper Christian Gurney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd match minute, Kingswood AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Munday to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Casey Moss from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Christian Gurney's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 90 minutes, Orson Ronson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswood AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orson Ronson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Gurney made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Christian Hopkinson sent off a good shot on target. Christian Gurney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Jennings, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Morecambe FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
