The crowd rose to their feet as Wes Bloom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving John Paul Beech. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Ash Hargreaves might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Paul Beech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ash Hargreaves ran back to his position shaking his head. Tipton City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Casey Norman 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. With a little luck, Tipton City's John Paul Beech got control of the ball when Wes Bloom tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 played minutes Tipton City got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Forrester. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brian Réal got free with John Paul Beech in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Selsdon City booed when Tipton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Dyson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harvey Forrester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Paul Beech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brian Réal in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Tipton City's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Norman came free, but John Paul Beech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tipton City's Sid Jump got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeffrey Acton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Swain having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Selsdon City's Casey Norman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 43 minutes into the game, Casey Norman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. John Paul Beech was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute, Wes Bloom made a precise shot to the right of John Paul Beech. Tipton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0.

In the 55th minute, Wes Bloom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Paul Beech was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. John Paul Beech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Norman in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Brian Réal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Paul Beech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Brian Réal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Paul Beech. Tipton City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brian Réal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Alexander Dyson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. Spike Brearley shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 76 played minutes Tipton City got a freekick which was hit by Seb Short. John Paul Beech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Réal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Paul Beech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Norman in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Brian Réal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Paul Beech. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wes Bloom in the 86th minute of play forced Tipton City's goalkeeper John Paul Beech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Paul Beech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Norman in the 89th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Tipton City's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Norman came free, but John Paul Beech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
