Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ethan Leyburn made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodney Towler in the 10th minute of play forced Selsey AFC's goalkeeper Wes Kessler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gav Markham charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gav Markham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Selsey AFC's zone, Rodney Towler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wes Kessler came out of the goal and Rodney Towler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Selsey AFC's Wes Kessler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Towler in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Selsey AFC's zone, Brett Kalischer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wes Kessler came out of the goal and Brett Kalischer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Selsey AFC's Wes Kessler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Kalischer in the 18th minute of play. Rodney Towler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Wes Kessler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodney Towler in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wes Kessler saved Selsey AFC from getting behind. Wes Kessler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodney Towler in the 34th minute of the match. During the 34th minute of the match Gav Markham completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gav Markham a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gav Markham kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Brett Kalischer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wes Kessler. Selsey AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brett Kalischer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wes Kessler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Hilton in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Selsey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ivor Summerfield. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Selsey AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Todd Tetley was slow to take the kick. During this time SPARK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Todd Tetley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wes Kessler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodney Towler to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Brett Kalischer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Wes Kessler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Selsey AFC booed when SPARK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Towler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnathan Renner might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leroy Holland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnathan Renner ran back to his position shaking his head. Brett Kalischer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Wes Kessler made a huge save. Rodney Towler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wes Kessler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brett Kalischer in the 66th minute. If Rodney Towler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brett Kalischer struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Wes Kessler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPARK. Brett Kalischer in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wes Kessler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leroy Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnathan Renner in the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Selsey AFC booed when SPARK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronan Hitchen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnathan Renner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leroy Holland having to interfere. SPARK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
