Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Bates took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Heckmondwike's zone, Glenn Bird stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan Bradbury came out of the goal and Glenn Bird tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sol Connery might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronan Bradbury. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sol Connery ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Stoners Rovers's zone, Abraham Fry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Jenkins came out of the goal and Abraham Fry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, Harry Vaughn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heckmondwike's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stoners Rovers the free kick. Harry Vaughn kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ronan Bradbury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sol Connery in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Harry Vaughn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexander Jenkins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st match minute, Stoners Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Bird to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Charles Briant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heckmondwike's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stoners Rovers the free kick. After 37 played minutes Heckmondwike got a freekick which was hit by Charles Briant. Sol Connery struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ronan Bradbury didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stoners Rovers.

The supporters of Stoners Rovers booed when Heckmondwike was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keiran Younger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Stoners Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan Fordham to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Thomas Gerrard sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stoners Rovers's Alexander Jenkins didn't even have to move. When Sol Connery came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Stoners Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sol Connery couldn't finish the play. Ronan Bradbury made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glenn Bird in the 67th minute. The supporters of Stoners Rovers booed when Heckmondwike was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Briant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Sol Connery who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heckmondwike's Ronan Bradbury was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th match minute, Heckmondwike was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Denham to maneuver through the defense. Sol Connery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Bates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alexander Jenkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Bates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Jenkins having to interfere. Abraham Fry might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Jenkins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Fry ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexander Jenkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Fry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th minute Abraham Fry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Jenkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Heckmondwike fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stoners Rovers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
