After 6 minutes, Seth Warne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lancing AFC and the AFC Bocklingpastejsmorgas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seth Warne hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute Brad Cavanagh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Granger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luke Deaconsfield in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Granger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Baldwin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes, Lancing AFC's Bobby Renwick shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Max Granger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lancing AFC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Cavanagh in the 36th minute of play forced AFC Bocklingpastejsmorgas's goalkeeper Max Granger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Luke Deaconsfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Granger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Niall Blakeley made the kick off in the second half. Max Granger made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Brad Cavanagh sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, AFC Bocklingpastejsmorgas's Billy Oliver got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to AFC Bocklingpastejsmorgas getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Felix Hamilton hit a great ball. Max Granger made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Brad Cavanagh sent off a good shot on target. Brad Cavanagh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Max Granger made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Niall Blakeley put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Courtney. Felix Hamilton hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Brad Cavanagh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Max Granger made a huge save. Lancing AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
