Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Caleb Westwood started the match with the kick off. Robert Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Hayes having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Matthew Howard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Old Leake United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teignmouth the free kick. Mattias Croxford hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Matthew Howard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Croxford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th match minute, Old Leake United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Callery to maneuver through the defense. Benji Peakman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Stevie Hayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Old Leake United's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Croxford came free, but Stevie Hayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Ridsdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stevie Hayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kelvin Cheetham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Connor Buxton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kelvin Cheetham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Buxton having to interfere. After 39 minutes, Caleb Westwood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Old Leake United and the Teignmouth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Old Leake United got a freekick which was hit by Caleb Westwood. Frank Pearce kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes in the game, Robert Ridsdale dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Robert Ridsdale made the kick off in the second half. Mattias Croxford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Stevie Hayes made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Teignmouth's Robert Ridsdale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stevie Hayes. That made the score 0-1 after 62 minutes of play. Old Leake United's Stevie Hayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ridsdale in the 67th minute of play. Stevie Hayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Ridsdale, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Teignmouth booed when Old Leake United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Littlechild didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Ridsdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Kelvin Cheetham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Connor Buxton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Old Leake United's Stevie Hayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Old Leake United from getting a goal against them. Trevor Callery kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Teignmouth were awarded a corner. Ralph Barber went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Teignmouth's corner Ralph Barber fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stevie Hayes quite easily take care of the ball. Robert Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Hayes having to interfere.
