Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bart Sherwood kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Sherwood in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Liverpool AFC's Bart Sherwood in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harrogate's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clive Willis in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dom Osmond saved Liverpool AFC from getting behind. Sam Hargreaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Hughes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Liverpool AFC's Adam Peakman got a free kick in the 18th minute. Dom Osmond made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Eric Brown sent off a good shot on target. Bart Sherwood's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justin Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Harrogate's Justin Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Sherwood in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Brown got free with Dom Osmond in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Harrogate's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Sherwood came free, but Justin Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes, Garry Thompson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harrogate and the Liverpool AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Liverpool AFC booed when Harrogate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garry Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Bart Sherwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justin Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Sherwood in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Harrogate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garry Thompson to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Liverpool AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Harrogate:s goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clive Willis made a kick off. Rupert Beech struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dom Osmond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harrogate. Justin Hughes made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Sam Hargreaves sent off a good shot on target. Dom Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Brown in the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool AFC's zone, Eric Brown stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dom Osmond came out of the goal and Eric Brown tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clive Willis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justin Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Sherwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute, Liverpool AFC's Bart Sherwood ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Justin Hughes. Justin Hughes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Dom Osmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Brown, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Clive Willis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dom Osmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justin Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Sherwood in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Brown in the 96th minute of play forced Liverpool AFC's goalkeeper Dom Osmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Clive Willis came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Harrogate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clive Willis couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
