The Lutterworth City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Walter Coton kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Lutterworth City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Blowman to maneuver through the defense. Casey Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Timothy Attenborough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Stone, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Lutterworth City's Casey Stone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timothy Attenborough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timothy Attenborough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casey Oates went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lutterworth City's goalkeeper Stu Holland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fitz Gordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Stu Holland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th match minute, Birstall Bombers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Marshall to maneuver through the defense. Stu Holland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn Swift, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Birstall Bombers's Fitz Gordon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stu Holland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Birstall Bombers getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sean Lovell hit a great ball. The supporters of Lutterworth City booed when Birstall Bombers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Marshall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lutterworth City's Stu Holland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyn Swift in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Birstall Bombers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Lovell to maneuver through the defense. Casey Stone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Attenborough having to interfere. A collision led to Birstall Bombers getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gwyn Swift hit a great ball. Lutterworth City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
