Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Owen Workman in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stu Holland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casey Oates struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Miles Bye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lutterworth City. Casey Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timothy Cornish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Owen Workman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Holland having to interfere. Owen Workman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stu Holland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casey Oates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Miles Bye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timothy Cornish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lutterworth City's Stu Holland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Workman in the 40th minute of play. Timothy Cornish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Owen Workman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Owen Workman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stu Holland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Casey Oates made the kick off in the second half. Miles Bye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casey Stone went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Stu Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Workman in the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Lutterworth City's Stu Holland got control of the ball when Owen Workman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pat Wood hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Stratton City were awarded a corner. Nicky Slade went to the cornerflag to take it. Stratton City's Nicky Slade was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stu Holland in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bryan Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Timothy Cornish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Stratton City got a freekick which was hit by Mick Holbrook. Miles Bye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Stone, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute Casey Oates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Bye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Owen Workman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Holland having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Stratton City players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
