Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rio Shaw made the kick off which started today's match. When Damien Langford came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Swaffham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Langford couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Swaffham's Damien Langford dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Damien Langford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Langford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Seagrave having to interfere. Swaffham's Sam Eglington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Shaw in the 25th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Swaffham got a freekick which was hit by Rory Thompson. Casey Swain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Rio Shaw notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Swaffham's Sam Eglington. Sam Eglington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Casey Swain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sam Eglington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Shane Stone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Eglington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Swain, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

56 minutes into the game, Tom Power was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swaffham AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swaffham the free kick. After a rather tough play, Swaffham AFC's Tom Power got a free kick in the 56th minute. Shane Seagrave made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Thompson in the 57th minute of play. Rio Shaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Eglington having to interfere. If Rio Shaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rory Thompson struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Shane Seagrave didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swaffham. After 69 played minutes Swaffham got a freekick which was hit by Olly Waddington. 71 minutes into the match, Swaffham AFC's Casey Swain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sam Eglington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rio Shaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Eglington having to interfere. If Casey Swain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Swaffham AFC's Casey Swain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sam Eglington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Swaffham AFC were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Swaffham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Den Dowrick took the corner. The corner led Swaffham AFC's Den Dowrick to fire away a dangerous shot which Sam Eglington despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Damien Langford took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shane Seagrave. Shane Seagrave dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 88th minute, Rory Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Damien Langford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Seagrave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rory Thompson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Swaffham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rory Thompson couldn't finish the play. Rory Thompson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Shane Seagrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Swaffham AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
