Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Norbury City's Stew Summers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norbury City's Mark Leonard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Carlick in the 3rd minute of play. Loyd Barber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Forrester having to interfere. Teddy Carlick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mark Leonard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Forrester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Summers in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Stew Summers notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bletchingley City's Steve Forrester. Steve Forrester was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 29 minutes, Pat Weston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norbury City and the Bletchingley City players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Norbury City getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Pat Weston hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes Bletchingley City got a freekick which was hit by Tim Whitmore. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ivor Orchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bletchingley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivor Orchard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Leonard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivor Orchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Leonard having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Teddy Carlick made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Teddy Carlick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bletchingley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Teddy Carlick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Ivor Orchard came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Bletchingley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivor Orchard couldn't finish the play. Teddy Carlick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Leonard having to interfere. Mark Leonard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivor Orchard in the 83rd minute of play. If Ivor Orchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivor Orchard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
