Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jez Pickford in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Lynch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leon Deighton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10thth minute of the game Jez Pickford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Keswick FC's Dean Lynch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Piers Davis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Keswick FC's Kristopher Morris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Bator made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 39 minutes into the match, Timperley's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Walls came free, but Joel Bator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Keswick FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Timperley's Richie Trotter got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dean Lynch. Dean Lynch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jez Pickford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Keswick FC's zone, Jez Pickford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Lynch came out of the goal and Jez Pickford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rod Walls to strike the kick off in the second half. Keswick FC's Dean Lynch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jez Pickford in the 52nd minute of play. Leon Deighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Lynch having to interfere. Rod Walls received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Joel Bator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Leon Deighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Lynch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Keswick FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mike Winship hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike Winship during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes Keswick FC got a freekick which was hit by Mike Winship. In the 69th minute of the match Richie Trotter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dean Lynch skillfully saved the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Keswick FC's Kristopher Morris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Bator made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Rod Walls was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rod Walls fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Bator having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Timperley's goalkeeper Joel Bator had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristopher Morris. 83 minutes into the match, Timperley's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Walls came free, but Joel Bator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes, Leon Deighton made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Keswick FC's Dean Lynch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Keswick FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keswick FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
