Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dale Morgan kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Coombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Paley to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Coombe booed when Louth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dale Morgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st match minute, Coombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Paley to maneuver through the defense. When Louth's Dale Morgan in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coombe's goalie prevented a goal. Ricky Fletcher struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Curtis Farmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coombe. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when George Homes sped through Louth's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Curtis Farmer. 39 minutes into the match, George Homes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Farmer. Louth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that George Homes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. George Homes scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Curtis Farmer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Louth players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coombe were winning 0-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Homes to make the kick off. Curtis Farmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 55th minute. Curtis Farmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Homes in the 56th minute of play. George Homes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Curtis Farmer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Morgan in the 64th minute of play forced Coombe's goalkeeper Thom Payne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Coombe defense, Perry Hickson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thom Payne. The Coombe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thom Payne should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that George Homes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Curtis Farmer was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. With 75 minutes on the clock, Darren Paley commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 74th minute, one of Coombe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coombe. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Louth. Giles Horn stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thom Payne. 2-3. Ricky Fletcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Curtis Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Ed Watson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Farmer. Louth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ed Watson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 87th minute of play forced Louth's goalkeeper Curtis Farmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Coombe's Ed Watson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curtis Farmer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, Coombe's Ricky Fletcher made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Curtis Farmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ricky Fletcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ed Watson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coombe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ed Watson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curtis Farmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Coombe's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
