An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Bush in the 10th minute of play forced Barnham FC's goalkeeper Dominik Grigg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stroud's Curtis Illingworth got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicky Payne made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ivor Clarke sent off a good shot on target. Barnham FC's Dominik Grigg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Illingworth in the 21st minute of play. Reg Bush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curtis Illingworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dominik Grigg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Barnham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Fitzgerald to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reg Bush to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Stroud's Reg Bush slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dominik Grigg. That made the score 1-1 after 55 minutes of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Ivor Clarke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stroud's Nicky Payne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Barnham FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ronnie Shaw hit a great ball. With a little luck, Barnham FC's Dominik Grigg got control of the ball when Curtis Illingworth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reg Bush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Al Harban made a precise shot to the right of Nicky Payne. Stroud's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Barnham FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stroud for a fine match.
