When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Olívio Faria sped through Stroud's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicky Payne. Brentwood City's Olívio Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Faria in the 16th minute of play forced Stroud's goalkeeper Nicky Payne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Olívio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brentwood City's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Payne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olívio Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Payne having to interfere. Grant Lumb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lewis Lawton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reg Bush in the 28th minute of play. Sly Stockton's late challenge caught a Brentwood City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sly Stockton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Stroud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sly Stockton to maneuver through the defense. When Olívio Faria came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Brentwood City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Faria couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, Olívio Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nicky Payne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olívio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicky Payne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio Faria went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 47 minutes, Olívio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brentwood City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Reg Bush made the kick off in the second half. Olívio Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nicky Payne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brentwood City were furious when Stathis Seremeglis was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Stroud a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lance Tully, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brentwood City's Lewis Lawton. 1-3. Olívio Faria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Nicky Payne skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Olívio Faria was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Brentwood City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Beinn Foster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brentwood City's supporters rose to their feet, but Beinn Foster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Payne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Beinn Foster came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Brentwood City fans jumped to their feet. When Brentwood City's Olívio Faria in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stroud's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stroud's zone, Olívio Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Payne came out of the goal and Olívio Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Beinn Deeney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perry Broom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brentwood City's James Downes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stroud. If Olívio Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 85 in the game by Olívio Faria from a close distance when the talented Nicky Payne managed to make a qualified save. Stroud's players were relieved. Olívio Faria in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicky Payne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Stroud booed when Brentwood City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milan Kunert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 98 minutes, Olívio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brentwood City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Brentwood City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stroud.
