Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Freddy Thompson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Les Phelps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Prince having to interfere. Isaac Ridsdale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Thompson in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Owen York threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rochester's Bill Elam quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 14 played minutes Rochester got a freekick which was hit by Bill Elam. Rochester's Garry Midson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gerry Commons, made in the 16th minute of the game. Freddy Thompson let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 18th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. A collision led to Rochester getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Joe Gilroy hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Freddy Thompson made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Ridsdale. Harvington United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Harvington United's goalkeeper Isaac Ridsdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Thompson. After a rather tough play, Rochester's Gavin Murtagh got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Les Phelps made the kick off in the second half. Isaac Ridsdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Thompson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Freddy Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dom Sheringham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Stu Prince made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Harvington United's Alistair Titmus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stu Prince made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Freddy Thompson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Ridsdale having to interfere. If Rupert Panther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Harvington United defense, Freddy Thompson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaac Ridsdale. The Harvington United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaac Ridsdale should have stopped the shot. Rupert Panther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
