The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonny Speed got free with Pedro Swift in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonny Speeds short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Pedro Swift to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Piers Mulford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute, Sneinton Souljahs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Gamble to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jonny Speed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hythe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonny Speed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Swift breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonny Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The nice shot from Jonny Speed in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Pedro Swift had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Hythe FC's Sean Thorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Sewell in the 33rd minute of play. Sean Thorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Mulford in the 35th minute of the match. Jonny Speed who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Swift when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Sneinton Souljahs's zone, Jonny Speed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Swift came out of the goal and Jonny Speed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Rich Hume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hythe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rich Hume was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jonny Speed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piers Mulford to strike the kick off in the second half. Piers Mulford was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Hythe FC's Sean Thorn got control of the ball when Tim Sewell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Swift showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Speed in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Jonny Speed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sneinton Souljahs's Pedro Swift was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Sneinton Souljahs's Barrie Gamble nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sean Thorn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hythe FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Piers Mulford 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Sneinton Souljahs's Pedro Swift played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonny Speed in the 65th minute of play. Jonny Speed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Swift having to interfere. Duncan Wardill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hythe FC's Jonny Speed in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sneinton Souljahs's goalie prevented a goal. Jonny Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hythe FC's Andre Boulding in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 80th minute Piers Mulford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Thorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Swift made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Speed in the 83rd minute of play. When Rich Hume came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Hythe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rich Hume couldn't finish the play. Although Hythe FC had been in control for most of the match, Sneinton Souljahs still came away with the win.
