Tod Layfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Turnbull having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Kris Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Docklands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Turnbull breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CJ Ricketts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ivan Turnbull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Samuel Copsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Kris Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Docklands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Turnbull breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Turnbull showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Ricketts in the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Tunbridge Wells defense, Kris Murphy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Turnbull. The Tunbridge Wells fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Turnbull should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colin Lampard in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Turnbull saved Tunbridge Wells from getting behind. When Kris Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Docklands FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Murphy couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Docklands FC booed when Tunbridge Wells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Flower didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Niven was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Matthew Unsworth capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matthew Unsworth really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 38th minute of the match, Matthew Unsworth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Danny Niven was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute Kris Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turnbull saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tunbridge Wells's zone, Colin Lampard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Turnbull came out of the goal and Colin Lampard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Lampard in the 45th minute of play forced Tunbridge Wells's goalkeeper Ivan Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes of play, Docklands FC's Colin Lampard made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Turnbull was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Brayson made a kick off. With his leg Ivan Turnbull managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Docklands FC's Tod Layfield fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tunbridge Wells's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joseph Hamilton was slow to take the kick. During this time Docklands FC's players had a chance to rest. Tunbridge Wells's Ivan Turnbull played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denzil Stevens in the 59th minute of play. Danny Niven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Brayson in the 67th minute of play. Danny Niven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Brayson in the 71st minute of the match. When CJ Ricketts came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Docklands FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Ricketts couldn't finish the play. Docklands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denzil Stevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Turnbull came out and tried to block the shot, but Tod Layfield slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Kris Murphy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Docklands FC played a much better game than Tunbridge Wells and deserved their victory. The Tunbridge Wells players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
