Steve Alsop's late challenge caught a Micklefield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve Alsop helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bobson FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Steve Alsop hit a great ball. Wayne Routledge who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Casey Gunn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. John Higgins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If John Higgins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Buster Berryman kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Bobson FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Higgins came free, but Casey Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Bobson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Bilham to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Alsop couldn't finish the play. Bobson FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Micklefield the free kick. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Micklefield's John Higgins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casey Gunn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casey Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Higgins in the 95th minute of the match. John Higgins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Casey Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bobson FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Micklefield.
