Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sammy Wright started the match with the kick off. Jools Crooks made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Benjamin Creighton sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the game, Allan Holdroyd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bourne End's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoylake the free kick. Allan Holdroyd hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Wright in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jools Crooks saved Bourne End from getting behind. Alistair Kerr charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alistair Kerr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Alistair Kerr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Mickey Dobbs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jools Crooks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Wright in the 13th minute of the match. Hoylake's Benjamin Creighton was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Bourne End's Austin Furlong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvester Blackwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alistair Kerr hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Allan Holdroyd got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 31 played minutes Bourne End got a freekick which was hit by Allan Holdroyd. In the 32nd minute, Carl Lowe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bourne End's Jools Crooks didn't even have to move. In the 40th minute, Mickey Dobbs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvester Blackwell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Austin Furlong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvester Blackwell having to make a save. Hoylake's Silvester Blackwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Furlong in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Mickey Dobbs made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickey Dobbs in the 52nd minute of play forced Hoylake's goalkeeper Silvester Blackwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Keanu Frost took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Silvester Blackwell to make any attempt to save it. Mickey Dobbs in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Silvester Blackwell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sammy Wright charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sammy Wright the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hoylake's Sammy Wright got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mickey Dobbs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bourne End's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickey Dobbs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvester Blackwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bourne End's Austin Furlong got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Bourne End's Mickey Dobbs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvester Blackwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mickey Dobbs might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvester Blackwell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mickey Dobbs ran back to his position shaking his head. Bourne End's Austin Furlong got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Benjamin Creighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Creighton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jools Crooks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mickey Dobbs got free with Silvester Blackwell in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keanu Frost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Silvester Blackwell made a huge save. Mickey Dobbs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvester Blackwell having to make a save. If Austin Furlong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Bourne End left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hoylake.
