Spectators: 7390 (Terracing: 5544, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ian Midson started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Beevers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Midson, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Westbury-sub-Mendip's Leigh Flintoff got a free kick in the 18th minute. Andre Wildman, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Anthony Nightingale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Frank Ridsdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Lymm got a freekick which was hit by John Paul Kearney. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lymm's goalkeeper Frank Ridsdale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Jonathan Beevers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Midson in the 32nd minute of play. Anthony Nightingale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Westbury-sub-Mendip's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Midson came free, but Jonathan Beevers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Beevers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Atkins in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Chapman in the 44th minute of play forced Lymm's goalkeeper Frank Ridsdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Jay Chapman made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Beevers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Atkins went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Lymm's John Paul Kearney got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ian Midson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonathan Beevers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Alcock kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Jay Chapman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Ridsdale having to interfere. Jay Chapman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jay Chapman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Frank Ridsdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Ridsdale came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Westbury-sub-Mendip's Anthony Nightingale. But to his dismay, Anthony Nightingale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Jonathan Beevers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Westbury-sub-Mendip from getting a goal against them. Lymm's William Atkins got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When William Atkins came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lymm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Atkins couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Ian Midson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Beevers. Ian Midson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Jay Chapman got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Lymm players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
