Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stevie Cook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Rutherford in the 10th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Barcelona's Robert Lynch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Don Stead. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. FC Barcelona's Stevie Cook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Pallister in the 21st minute of play. Wes Carey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Don Stead came out and tried to block the shot, but Wes Carey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. Robert Lynch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Stead having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Rio Couch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Down Grange Albion fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Lynch in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Don Stead saved Down Grange Albion from getting behind. 44 minutes into the game, Robert Lynch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Don Stead was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Lynch was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Stevie Cook got control of the ball when Tod Pallister tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Lynch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Stead having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Lynch in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Don Stead prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Rio Couch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don Stead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wes Carey, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Wes Carey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Stead having to interfere. Silvester Childs kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Wes Carey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Silvester Childs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Stead saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Dan Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alf Bzeu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Tod Pallister notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of FC Barcelona's Stevie Cook. Stevie Cook was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Alfred Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Cook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Don Stead took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Lynch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Bzeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Stead having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Down Grange Albion's goal looked a bit too open when Wes Carey came free, but Don Stead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Down Grange Albion's zone, Wes Carey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Don Stead came out of the goal and Wes Carey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Down Grange Albion's Don Stead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Lynch in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute Robert Lynch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Stead saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that FC Barcelona were the better team. FC Barcelona's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
