Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Louis Delaney kicked off to start the match. Callum Pitt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calvin Logan's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Crispin Winter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Huyton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dylan Shearer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shane Robertson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Halstead AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rich Dibb. Callum Pitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len McGurk in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Halstead AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Len McGurk came free, but Callum Pitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Logan in the 27th minute of play forced Halstead AFC's goalkeeper Callum Pitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Calvin Logan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Halstead AFC's Callum Pitt. Callum Pitt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shane Robertson was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Louis Delaney capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Louis Delaney really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Callum Pitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Logan, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Crispin Winter to strike the kick off in the second half. When Len McGurk came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Huyton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Len McGurk couldn't finish the play. Callum Pitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crispin Winter, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute Crispin Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Callum Pitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Halstead AFC's Piers Berry got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Crispin Winter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dylan Shearer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Louis Delaney took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shane Robertson. Shane Robertson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 74 minutes into the match, Louis Delaney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shane Robertson. Huyton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Louis Delaney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Dylan Shearer notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Huyton's Shane Robertson. Shane Robertson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Halstead AFC's Buster Froggatt got a free kick in the 88th minute. Halstead AFC's Callum Pitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Halstead AFC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, Halstead AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Huyton having more of the ball for most of the match.
