Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Dale Sandell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rueben Foster's late challenge caught a Portsmouth AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Portsmouth AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Long Hanborough City were winning 0-3.
