Julian Fenton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Toulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Julian Fenton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sandown FC's Marcus Brighton got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Paul Coulson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Marcus Brighton struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dale Sandell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandown FC. If Piers Avery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Toulson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julian Fenton made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Long Hanborough City's Rueben Foster got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Phil Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dale Sandell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Brighton in the 37th minute of play. Dale Sandell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek Howard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandown FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by John Paul Coulson in the 41st minute. Sandown FC's 冯邦泉 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dale Sandell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Sandown FC booed when Long Hanborough City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Foster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandown FC's Julian Fenton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Emmerson in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Marcus Brighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Emmerson in the 47th minute of play forced Sandown FC's goalkeeper Julian Fenton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Brighton was the one to do the kick off. Derek Howard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Marcus Brighton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandown FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Brighton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Sandell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Brighton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dale Sandell made a huge save. Derek Howard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dale Sandell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caleb Wray kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Zackary Brookman hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Julian Fenton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Emmerson in the 70th minute of the match. If Giuseppe Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 83 played minutes Long Hanborough City got a freekick which was hit by Zackary Brookman. Julian Fenton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Emmerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Giuseppe Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sandown FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
