A collision led to Guildford AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Glenn Beasley hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Bill Castledine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turow Harborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Bill Castledine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathanial Hardcastle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tyler Fox made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Wayne Whittaker sent off a good shot on target. Turow Harborough's Tyler Fox proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Turow Harborough from getting a goal against them. Vern Lineker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyler Fox having to make a save. Calum Bambrook's late challenge caught a Guildford AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Camron Chapman to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guildford AFC's zone, Camron Chapman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathanial Hardcastle came out of the goal and Camron Chapman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 played minutes Guildford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Beasley. Bill Castledine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nathanial Hardcastle having to make a save. Bill Castledine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Turow Harborough's Bill Castledine got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Turow Harborough players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Guildford AFC.
