Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ged Coton got the match started through his kick off. Jonathon Pallister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Castledine having to interfere. After 9th play minutes Warren Plant shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Olly Castledine and just under the crossbar into goal. If Ged Coton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olly Castledine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Pallister in the 14th minute of play. When GATESHEAD FC's Warren Plant in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wallasey's goalie prevented a goal. Louis Hales came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Radoslaw Czermak could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Warren Plant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olly Castledine was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Olly Castledine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Plant in the 35th minute of the match. Olly Castledine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warren Plant in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Wallasey's zone, Jonathon Pallister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olly Castledine came out of the goal and Jonathon Pallister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis Hales charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis Hales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Louis Hales kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Warren Plant sped through Wallasey's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olly Castledine. Jonathon Pallister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Warren Plant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Warren Plant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olly Castledine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathon Pallister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Warren Plant sped through Wallasey's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olly Castledine. Olly Castledine made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jonathon Pallister sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GATESHEAD FC's goalkeeper Radoslaw Czermak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Radoslaw Czermak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Hales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wallasey's Olly Castledine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Carsley in the 69th minute of play. Jonathon Pallister scored 1-8 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olly Castledine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Wallasey's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Plant came free, but Olly Castledine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Wallasey fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GATESHEAD FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
