When John Paul Dawes came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Kingston/New Malden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Paul Dawes couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Cody Tolley notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kingston/New Malden's Robert Routledge. Robert Routledge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Guy Lawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremy Hicks during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Kieran Horseman came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the The Kraków City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kieran Horseman couldn't finish the play. Kingston/New Malden's attack was well implemented in the 23rd minute, but when John Paul Dawes was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After 28 minutes of play, The Kraków City's Marcelinho Coutinho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Routledge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guy Lawson struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Robert Routledge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Kraków City. 36 minutes into the match, The Kraków City's Cody Tolley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Routledge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kingston/New Malden's goalkeeper Robert Routledge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Marcelinho Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the The Kraków City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Coutinho couldn't finish the play. After having played for 43 minutes, Kieran Horseman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Kraków City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kieran Horseman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Marcelinho Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Kraków City's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelinho Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Routledge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guy Lawson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Routledge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Kingston/New Malden getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Pete Wooding hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Oliver Lambert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelinho Coutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Guy Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Routledge having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kingston/New Malden's zone, Marcelinho Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Routledge came out of the goal and Marcelinho Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kieran Horseman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Routledge having to interfere. Robert Routledge was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Guy Lawson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guy Lawson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When Guy Lawson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the The Kraków City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Lawson couldn't finish the play. Oliver Lambert hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Kieran Horseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kieran Horseman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Robert Routledge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
