A collision led to Shap Citysad getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Robbie Oldham hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, Shap Citysad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keiran Shipton to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Derek Marchant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leigh Watkinson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Leigh Watkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Cytrynski in the 17th minute of play. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lech Cytrynski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Persepolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Lech Cytrynski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leigh Watkinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leigh Watkinson came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Persepolis's Derek Marchant. But to his dismay, Derek Marchant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Reuben Tyler hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Isaac Elding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Inman in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Persepolis's goalkeeper Isaac Elding had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keiran Shipton. 40 minutes into the game, Geoff Potter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Persepolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shap Citysad the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Persepolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoff Potter to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Derek Marchant made a precise shot to the right of Leigh Watkinson. Shap Citysad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Shap Citysad players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Persepolis were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Keiran Shipton made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Shap Citysad's Robbie Oldham got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoff Potter got free with Leigh Watkinson in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Persepolis's Kristian Doughty was substituted for Darryl Mannell. Isaac Elding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stu Pope, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lech Cytrynski came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leigh Watkinson could save by the left post. Persepolis were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Shap Citysad's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geoff Potter took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Kristian Doughty heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 72 minutes of play, Persepolis's Lech Cytrynski made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leigh Watkinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 played minutes Persepolis got a freekick which was hit by Lech Cytrynski. Lech Cytrynski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 80th playminute. Leigh Watkinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Marchant in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Kristian Doughty lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Leigh Watkinson. Callum Crtichell hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Persepolis's Derek Marchant got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 minutes, Sebastian Jennings mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Persepolis and the Shap Citysad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Derek Marchant's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Leigh Watkinson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
