Spectators: 7442 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 100) Persepolis's Derek Marchant started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Wisla Krakow's zone, Derek Marchant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loyd Bush came out of the goal and Derek Marchant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute, Lech Cytrynski made a precise shot to the right of Loyd Bush. Wisla Krakow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Wisla Krakow's Ryan Keane got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Derek Marchant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loyd Bush. Wisla Krakow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derek Marchant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Wisla Krakow's Loyd Bush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Cytrynski in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Geoff Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loyd Bush saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derek Marchant in the 16th minute of play forced Wisla Krakow's goalkeeper Loyd Bush to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wisla Krakow's Loyd Bush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Potter in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wisla Krakow's Ryan Keane got a free kick in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Derek Marchant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loyd Bush was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Isaac Elding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Longstaff, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Derek Marchant might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loyd Bush. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derek Marchant ran back to his position shaking his head. Loyd Bush stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derek Marchant's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Geoff Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Loyd Bush tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Derek Marchant sped through Wisla Krakow's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Loyd Bush. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ben Longstaff in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Elding prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Persepolis were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Longstaff was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Mitch Armstrong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wisla Krakow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Persepolis the free kick. In the 52nd minute, one of Wisla Krakow:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wisla Krakow. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Mannell got free with Loyd Bush in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wisla Krakow's Loyd Bush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Potter in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek Marchant in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loyd Bush saved Wisla Krakow from getting behind. Ben Longstaff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Elding read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Derek Marchant reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Loyd Bush. The goal made the score 0-6. Ben Longstaff charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Longstaff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ben Longstaff hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Derek Marchant put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Loyd Bush. Tyrone Wood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Derek Marchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 83 in the game by Derek Marchant from a close distance when the talented Loyd Bush managed to make a qualified save. Wisla Krakow's players were relieved. Derek Marchant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loyd Bush having to make a save. Geoff Potter struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Loyd Bush didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Persepolis. Derek Marchant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lech Cytrynski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Persepolis's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
