Spectators: 5823 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 148) In the 7thth minute of the game Barrie Ellerby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horwich's Benjamin Hickson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stefan Willets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Hickson having to interfere. Stefan Willets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barrie Ellerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Hickson having to interfere. Benjamin Hickson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barrie Ellerby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Hickson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Willets, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Joel Maxwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horwich's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Maxwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Hume breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Horwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Duckworth to maneuver through the defense. Barrie Ellerby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Benjamin Hickson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Horwich booed when Richings Park FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mick Fairs didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Scott Duckworth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horwich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Richings Park FC the free kick.

The wind increased when Stefan Willets made the kick off in the second half. Horwich's Benjamin Hickson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Willets in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horwich's goalkeeper Benjamin Hickson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Horwich defense, Barrie Ellerby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Hickson. The Horwich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Hickson should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Barrie Ellerby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Hickson was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Barrie Ellerby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Richings Park FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Jools Windsor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Hickson. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Barrie Ellerby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Richings Park FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jools Windsor to maneuver through the defense. Joel Maxwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Hume having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Horwich's Scott Duckworth got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Benjamin Hickson made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Barrie Ellerby sent off a good shot on target. Horwich's Benjamin Hickson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Horwich from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Richings Park FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
