Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) Junior Brennan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Seth Medlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leigh Woolford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verne Broadbent went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Margarson in the 13th minute of play forced Streatham Starlights's goalkeeper Miles Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricky Button got free with Leigh Woolford in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute of the match Connor Purkiss shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miles Fowler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Junior Brennan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benfica's Leigh Woolford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miles Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Margarson in the 24th minute of play. Verne Broadbent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Leigh Woolford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Streatham Starlights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Haugue to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ash Margarson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miles Fowler was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Goodall in the 31st minute of play forced Streatham Starlights's goalkeeper Miles Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miles Fowler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ritchie Dunlop, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Streatham Starlights's Miles Fowler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ritchie Dunlop in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Seth Medlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Dunlop. Junior Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miles Fowler came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Benfica's Ritchie Dunlop. But to his dismay, Ritchie Dunlop quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Streatham Starlights's Ricky Button dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Junior Brennans short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Leigh Woolford to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ricky Button fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leigh Woolford having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Miles Fowler made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ritchie Dunlop sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seth Medlin got free with Miles Fowler in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Adrian Goodall took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Miles Fowler to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ritchie Dunlop got free with Miles Fowler in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leigh Woolford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Junior Brennan's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Adrian Goodall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Goodall in the 67th minute of play forced Streatham Starlights's goalkeeper Miles Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miles Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Goodall in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Seth Medlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Adrian Goodall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ritchie Dunlop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Miles Fowler made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Medlin in the 96th minute of play forced Streatham Starlights's goalkeeper Miles Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benfica's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
