In the 18th minute, Roy Reynolds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cliff Heywood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Knowles, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Marcus Coote's late challenge caught a Romandinho LFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Coote helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Coote kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurence Brownlow in the 26th minute of play forced Romandinho LFC's goalkeeper Victor Marenghi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Johnathan Mann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redruth AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnathan Mann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Marenghi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Laurence Brownlow, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Victor Marenghi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Laurence Brownlow rounded Romandinho LFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Victor Marenghi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnathan Mann went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Redruth AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marcus Coote hit a great ball. Romandinho LFC's Tristram Brookes got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Guy Knowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cliff Heywood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Marenghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Brownlow in the 53rd minute of the match. Romandinho LFC's Victor Marenghi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Mann in the 59th minute of play. Guy Knowles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cliff Heywood having to make a save. Redruth AFC's Cliff Heywood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Redruth AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, John Nelson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurence Brownlow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Victor Marenghi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristram Brookes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Cliff Heywood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 80th minute, Tristram Brookes made a precise shot to the right of Cliff Heywood. Redruth AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Johnathan Mann came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Redruth AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathan Mann couldn't finish the play. Victor Marenghi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Mann, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Redruth AFC's Laurence Brownlow made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Marenghi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laurence Brownlow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Redruth AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
