Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Intersports fc's Cliff Tipton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Fletcher in the 5th minute of play. When Kurt Halliwell came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Wanborough FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Halliwell couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Fish during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oscar Fish kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Kurt Halliwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Halliwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Halliwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cliff Tipton was a little too slow when Sam Price got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Sam Price struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Cliff Tipton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanborough FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Price in the 29th minute of play forced Intersports fc's goalkeeper Cliff Tipton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean West scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barney Woods, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36thth minute of the game Sam Price who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Intersports fc's Cliff Tipton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Halliwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Cliff Tipton made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, Wanborough FC's Kurt Halliwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cliff Tipton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kurt Halliwell came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Wanborough FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Halliwell couldn't finish the play. Wanborough FC's Darryl Wicks shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cliff Tipton but with some difficulty. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cliff Tipton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Fletcher in the 52nd minute of play. Barney Woods showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Fish, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Sebastian Fawell fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Barney Woods, passed just outside the right post. If Sean West had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sean West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Barney Woods tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Kurt Halliwell made a precise shot to the right of Cliff Tipton. Intersports fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After having played for 98 minutes, Sam Price managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Price was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
