Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Guy Knowles made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, Carl Harrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diss AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romandinho LFC the free kick. Carl Harrison hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. If Guy Knowles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romandinho LFC's goalkeeper Victor Marenghi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Romandinho LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Canning didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Diss AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Carl Harrison hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Paul Porter in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Marenghi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 21 in the game by Loyd Moxon from a close distance when the talented Victor Marenghi managed to make a qualified save. Romandinho LFC's players were relieved. John Paul Porter had several of the Romandinho LFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Victor Marenghi as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romandinho LFC's goalkeeper Victor Marenghi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, John Paul Porter took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Victor Marenghi to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Romandinho LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gary Walmsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Paul Porter hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Paul Porter in the 43rd minute of play forced Romandinho LFC's goalkeeper Victor Marenghi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guy Knowles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Paul Porter was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, John Paul Porter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diss AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Paul Porter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute John Paul Porter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Marenghi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Marenghi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Porter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Al Bright collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Guy Knowles kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Diss AFC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Howden. Damian Acton hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Romandinho LFC's Denzil Coe tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Danny Howden was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After 86 played minutes Diss AFC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Howden. After a defensive mix-up in Romandinho LFC's zone, Damian Acton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Marenghi came out of the goal and Damian Acton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Loyd Moxon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Diss AFC were the better team. Diss AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
