Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sam Price took the kick off in the first half of the match. Des Findley charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Des Findley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Atletico United booed when Wanborough FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Des Findley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ashley Gray charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ashley Gray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ashley Gray didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Atletico United's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Halliwell came free, but Andrew Campbell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Halliwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conal Hanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Barney Woods tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barney Woods showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doug Weston, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Atletico United's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Price came free, but Andrew Campbell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Kurt Halliwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alastair Fairfax in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barney Woods, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wanborough FC's Barney Woods played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conal Hanson in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alastair Fairfax who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wanborough FC's Barney Woods was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Huey Medley's late challenge caught a Wanborough FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Huey Medley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Atletico United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Medley to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 37 minutes, Sam Price managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Price was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrew Campbell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Halliwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Doug Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Alastair Fairfax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Barney Woods tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, CJ Darnbrooke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico United's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Darnbrooke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Woods breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barney Woods took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alastair Fairfax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Doug Weston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Woods saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Sam Price dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrew Campbell, 0-1. Andrew Campbell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Price, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Steven Cambridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wanborough FC's Barney Woods played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Darnbrooke in the 80th minute of play. Kurt Halliwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Andrew Campbell made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Hanson in the 84th minute of play forced Wanborough FC's goalkeeper Barney Woods to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes Atletico United got a freekick which was hit by Doug Weston. Andrew Campbell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Price in the 87th minute of the match. If Alastair Fairfax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastair Fairfax fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Woods having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Atletico United lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
