Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barry Sheene kicked off to start the match. When Diss AFC's John Paul Porter in 5 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Danny Thurman guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Danny Thurman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Paul Porter's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Dean Speight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Sheene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Barry Sheene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Speight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Penge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Danny Thurman had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Drew Warner's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dean Speight made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Phil Fawcett sent off a good shot on target. Loyd Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Thurman having to interfere. Loyd Moxon's late challenge caught a Penge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loyd Moxon helped the player get up and apologised. Loyd Moxon kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If John Paul Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Paul Porter was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Loyd Moxon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Loyd Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Thurman having to interfere. Danny Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Porter in the 61st minute of the match. Harvey Barker charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Barker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Harvey Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Paul Porter in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Penge getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Harvey Barker hit a great ball. Loyd Moxon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Danny Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harvey Barker was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th minute, Harvey Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered loudly when Drew Warner's long shot in the 76th minute became 0-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Danny Thurman. When Barry Sheene fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penge's protests and gave Barry Sheene a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Penge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Sheene didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Diss AFC's Drew Warner tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Penge's Barry Sheene got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If John Paul Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Penge's goalkeeper Danny Thurman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Phil Fawcett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
