Tristram Brookes took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wayne Boothroyd. Al Sinclair's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Marenghi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Osp boys booed when Romandinho LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Canning didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Al Sinclair rounded Romandinho LFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Tristram Brookes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romandinho LFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tristram Brookes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Al Sinclair was the one to do the kick off. If Huey Lomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Osp boys getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aaron Blake hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Osp boys got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Blake. In the 63rd minute, Tristram Brookes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Al Sinclair managed to get in a good position for a shot. Osp boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Al Sinclair was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Marenghi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Huey Lomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes, Osp boys's Lewis Milton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victor Marenghi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Osp boys reached it. Gary Walmsley hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Brendon Carlisle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Marenghi. Romandinho LFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Al Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Reynolds hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Victor Marenghi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Al Sinclair's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Osp boys were awarded a corner. Brendon Carlisle went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Brendon Carlisle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victor Marenghi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Al Sinclair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Marenghi was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Guy Knowles charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guy Knowles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Romandinho LFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Osp boys from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
