Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Laurence Brownlow kicked off to start the match. Danny Thurman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Johnathan Mann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danny Thurman made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Johnathan Mann sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Laurence Brownlow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Thurman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barry Sheene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cliff Heywood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johnathan Mann in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Thurman saved Penge from getting behind. Danny Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Brownlow in the 30th minute of play. Norman Wainwright hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Johnathan Mann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Thurman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Johnathan Mann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redruth AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnathan Mann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Thurman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicky Charles hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Johnathan Mann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Redruth AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The audience was convinced that Laurence Brownlow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Thurman was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Danny Thurman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnathan Mann's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, one of Penge:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Danny Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Brownlow in the 90th minute of the match. Danny Thurman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Mayall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Barker's late challenge caught a Redruth AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Redruth AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
