Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Laurence Brownlow got the match started through his kick off. Barney Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Brownlow in the 5th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Redruth AFC got a freekick which was hit by John Nelson. Sam Price recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Redruth AFC's Marcus Coote got a free kick in the 10th minute. Sam Price sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Halliwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Heywood having to interfere. Redruth AFC's Cliff Heywood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Redruth AFC from getting a goal against them. Kurt Halliwell struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Cliff Heywood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanborough FC. In the 19th minute, Robbie Downton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Wally Lynch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barney Woods skillfully saved the ball. Cliff Heywood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Price, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Redruth AFC's Casey Moore got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kurt Halliwell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Cliff Heywood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Redruth AFC's Cliff Heywood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Redruth AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th of the match, Sam Price tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Cliff Heywood got in the way and made a wonderful save. Barney Woods made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Brownlow in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute Laurence Brownlow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Woods saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Mann in the 46th minute of play forced Wanborough FC's goalkeeper Barney Woods to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Halliwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 56th minute Sam Price shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Heywood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Redruth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Blake to maneuver through the defense. Cliff Heywood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Price in the 60th minute of play. Redruth AFC's John Nelson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes of play, Wanborough FC's Sam Price made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cliff Heywood was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Johnathan Mann got free with Barney Woods in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Wanborough FC's Barney Woods got control of the ball when Johnathan Mann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johnathan Mann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Woods having to interfere. Kurt Halliwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Heywood having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wanborough FC!
