Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John Paul Porter took the kick off in the first half of the match. When John Paul Porter came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Diss AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Paul Porter couldn't finish the play. Dean Speight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from CJ Darnbrooke in the 7th minute of play. Loyd Moxon hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Dean Speight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Darnbrooke, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Conal Hanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Atletico United booed when Diss AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Paul Porter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrew Campbell came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Diss AFC's Damian Acton. But to his dismay, Damian Acton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Conal Hanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Diss AFC's zone, Alastair Fairfax stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Speight came out of the goal and Alastair Fairfax tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conal Hanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Speight having to interfere. Shane Duffy kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Doug Weston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Paul Porter in the 44th minute of play forced Atletico United's goalkeeper Andrew Campbell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diss AFC's goalkeeper Dean Speight, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, one of Atletico United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Diss AFC. Drew Warner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andrew Campbell. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alastair Fairfax to make the kick off. If Conal Hanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Diss AFC's Carl Harrison got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Damian Acton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrew Campbell. The goal made the score 0-3. Conal Hanson took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dean Speight. Dean Speight dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Dean Speight showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Fairfax in the 73rd minute of the match. When Loyd Moxon came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Diss AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loyd Moxon couldn't finish the play. Conal Hanson struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Dean Speight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico United. Loyd Moxon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Andrew Campbell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If John Paul Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastair Fairfax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Dean Speight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doug Weston hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the game, one of Atletico United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Andrew Campbell, was totally fooled by Diss AFC's Drew Warner, who 100 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Diss AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Atletico United side.
