Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Al Sinclair made the kick off and thus started the match. Loyd Moxon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute, Damian Acton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osp boys's Huey Lomas got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, John Paul Porter reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wayne Boothroyd. The goal made the score 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Diss AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Lomas came free, but Dean Speight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean Speight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Lomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Loyd Moxon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diss AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Loyd Moxon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wayne Boothroyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Blake during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If John Paul Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Diss AFC's zone, Huey Lomas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Speight came out of the goal and Huey Lomas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Osp boys's Al Sinclair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dean Speight narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wayne Boothroyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Paul Porter in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Paul Porter made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Frank Brimble mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Osp boys and the Diss AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Al Sinclair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, John Paul Porter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wayne Boothroyd. Osp boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Paul Porter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. John Paul Porter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Wayne Boothroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Damian Acton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Sinclair struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dean Speight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osp boys. Osp boys's Wayne Boothroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Harrison in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Wes Barone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Osp boys and the Diss AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Osp boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wes Barone didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Drew Warner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wayne Boothroyd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Huey Lomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osp boys's Wayne Boothroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loyd Moxon in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes, John Paul Porter made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Osp boys's Wayne Boothroyd tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Diss AFC's John Paul Porter got a free kick in the 88th minute. Huey Lomass short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Dean Speight to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diss AFC's Dean Speight proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Diss AFC from getting a goal against them. After 97 minutes of play Osp boys's Frank Brimble was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes into the game, one of Osp boys:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Diss AFC had played much better football throughout.
