The supporters of Wanborough FC booed when Romandinho LFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gary Walmsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Halliwell struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Victor Marenghi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanborough FC. Sam Price's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Marenghi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Sam Price fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Marenghi having to interfere. Ashley Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Victor Marenghi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Halliwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Victor Marenghi made a huge save. After having played for 41 minutes, Garry Fletcher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Fletcher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Marenghi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Price, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Kurt Halliwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sam Price had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Guy Knowles made the kick off in the second half. If Kurt Halliwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Ashley Gray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robbie Downton during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Romandinho LFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frazer Canning to maneuver through the defense. Victor Marenghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Price in the 81st minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Kurt Halliwell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Marenghi. Romandinho LFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Halliwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After having played for 98 minutes, Kurt Halliwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Halliwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wanborough FC fully deserved thier win.
