Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Max Caine kicked off to start the match. Guy Hurst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guy Wilson's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Thrybergh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Midson came free, but Guy Hurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guy Wiley made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Simon Skipton sent off a good shot on target. Guy Hurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Midson in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Wareham's Justin Midson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guy Hurst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guy Wiley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Caine in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes in the game, Max Caine fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Guy Wiley having to interfere. Sean Archer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phillip Shields sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Wareham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Christensen to maneuver through the defense. Guy Wiley made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Phillip Shields sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot by Robert Newton from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Guy Wiley's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Justin Midson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Justin Midson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Guy Hurst was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Guy Wilson made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Max Caine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guy Wiley. Wareham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Max Caine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 61st minute Jack Lawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Hurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guy Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Justin Midson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wareham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Midson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guy Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Guy Hurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy Wiley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Shields in the 68th minute of play. Jack Lawson's late challenge caught a Thrybergh AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Lawson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Wareham getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jack Lawson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thrybergh AFC's zone, Justin Midson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Hurst came out of the goal and Justin Midson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Wareham's goal looked a bit too open when Max Caine came free, but Guy Wiley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Max Caine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wareham's Guy Wiley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Leroy Greenfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Simon Skipton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Wiley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wareham's Guy Wilson got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guy Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Guy Hurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wareham players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Thrybergh AFC.
